Evaluating Costs
Kensington Court's monthly charges are based on two factors: the size of your apartment and the level of care required. The monthly fee for your apartment, based on its size, covers the majority of ordinary living expenses: rent, utilities excluding phone charges, expanded cable TV service, daily housekeeping, daily towel service, weekly flat linen service, three meals plus snacks daily, scheduled transportation and entertainment.
Other services are available on an a la carte basis and you will be provided an itemized bill on a monthly basis that clearly indicates any additional charges.
Care Levels I, II, and III and Medication Management fees are calculated based on an assessment conducted by the Director of Resident Care who is a Registered Nurse. Care Level and Medication Management fees may change from time to time based on a Resident's needs and are pro-rated to reflect any changes from the date the service level changes.
Often Long Term Care Insurance will cover costs associated with Assisted Living. Be sure to check with your insurance broker to determine if you own such a policy.
